Environmental monitoring data, returned to the communities it affects.

Much of the data collected near mines and oil sands operations reaches regulators long before it reaches the people who live downstream. SentinelFlow brings that data back, in a form the community owns and controls.

Services

Each tier builds on the one before. A community can start with data access alone and add the others when it chooses.

  1. Tier 1Data access

Monitoring data gathered in one place the community controls, written in plain language, with the source and method behind every value.

  2. Tier 2Alerts

Unusual readings flagged early and sent to the people the community chooses.

  3. Tier 3Trends and forecasts

Analysis of long-term records, with the uncertainty shown on every forecast.

Our commitments

How we work with every community, before any software is involved.

The community owns its data
Our work is guided by the First Nations principles of ownership, control, access and possession (OCAP®) and by the data rules each community sets.
Community priorities first
Every engagement starts with the community's own questions. Software comes second.
Impartial reporting
We report what the data show, with method and uncertainty, to whoever the community authorizes. We do not advocate for any party.

Current stage

SentinelFlow is early-stage. Our software has been tested on synthetic data only, and we have no field deployments yet. We are looking for a first community partner.
